The case that came to court in October now includes Jay-Z’s name among those accused; crime would have occurred in 2000
Jay-Z is being accused of raping a 13-year-old girl alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The case originally reached the New York Court in October this year, citing only Combs as a defendant and with two names hidden. On Sunday the 8th, the document was amended and included Jay-Zwhose real name is Shawn Carter.
According to the document, the woman, whose identity was not revealed, claims that the crime happened when she attended a party after the MTV Video Music Awardsin 2000. She was allegedly raped by Combs and Carter as a third celebrity looked on.
In the indictment, the alleged victim stated that he was trying to get into the event while standing outside Radio City Music Hall watching artists arrive. A limousine driver allegedly stopped and told the child that she “fit in.” Diddy I was looking for” and that I could go to afterparty.
Upon arriving at the party, the girl allegedly signed a confidentiality agreement and was drugged with a drink. She was then raped by Jay-Z and then, for Combs.
“The defendant, alongside his longtime friend and collaborator Shawn Carter (also known as Jay-Z), drugged and raped a 13-year-old girl at an after-party Video Music Awards 2000,” the suit says. “Another celebrity stayed and watched while Combs and Carter took turns abusing the minor.”
What Jay-Z said
Jay-Z denied the accusations and criticized the lawyer responsible for the action, Tony Buzbeethrough a post made on Twitter by Roc Nation, his record label.
“What he calculated was that the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No, sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud that you are, in a VERY public way. So , no, I’m not going to give you A SINGLE CENT!”, the rapper wrote to Buzbee.
“You made a terrible error in judgment by thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same. I’m not from your world. I’m a young man straight out of the Brooklyn projects. We don’t play those types of games. We have very strict codes and honor . We protect children; you seem to exploit people for personal gain. Only your network of conspiracy theorists and fake psychics would believe the idiotic allegations you leveled against me, which, if not for the gravity of the issue involving harm to children, would be laughable.” , he added. What Sean “Diddy” Combs said
The lawyers of Combs denied the accusations and also attacked Buzbee in a statement sent to People: “This amended complaint and the recent extortion case against Mr. Buzbee expose the flood of lawsuits filed against Mr. Combs for what they really are: blatant publicity stunts designed to extort payments from celebrities who fear lies being spread about them, just as lies were spread about Mr. Combs“.
“As his legal team has stated before, Mr. Combs has full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor,” he added.
