Paul McCartney welcomes Ringo Starr and Ronnie Wood to his last show of 2024


Special guests took to the stage at the O2 Arena in London, England – and no, Paul and Ringo did not perform “Now and Then” together

The last show of Paul McCartney in 2024 he saw two special appearances. Ringo Starreternal colleague of BeatlesAND Ronnie Woodguitarist of Rolling Stonestook the stage at the O2 Arena, in London, last Thursday (19th).

The collaboration had already taken place in 2018, when they all played the classic together “Come back”. This time, only Wood participated in the aforementioned song. In turn, Starr took the wands for herself “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (reprise)” AND “Helter Skelter”.

Although fans have been asking McCartney and Starr to play together for a long time, “Now and then” live, it wasn’t this time. The song was performed in the English capital – as seen in Brazil last October – but only by Paul and his backing band, well before the partnerships.

The three idols commented on the occasion through their social networks. Paul McCartney underlined that he used his lost Höfner 500/1 bass on Thursday evening (19th), responsible for mobilizing a campaign to find it after 52 years. Macca was given access to the tool again in early 2024.

More succinctly, Ringo Starr stated: “I had a great time with my old friend. You know who. Have a merry Christmas with peace and love, Ringo”.

In turn, Ronnie Wood emphasized: “I had so much fun playing “Come back” with my dear friends Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr at the O2 Arena last night. I hope everyone had fun!”.
