For the singer the DVD is a great achievement: “It’s been almost 40 years since my career, and seeing that for some moments I wanted to give up music, but God made me strong and brought me here. Today, seeing all this structure, all these people together working towards a project , of a person… is already a unique representation”, he reflects.

THE 50/50according to Solange, it represents more than an artistic achievement, but also a moment of profound connection with her roots and with the public who has accompanied her over the years: “I am very proud to have built a history, a legacy, marking generations… to know that in 20 years people will listen to my music with nostalgia. This is priceless”.

Overcoming challenges

Throughout her career, Solange has faced numerous obstacles, including prejudice due to her body being considered outside of thinness standards for singers. “More than 25 years ago managers wanted to record their bands with me, but they didn’t want me as a singer because I was out of the norm, chubby”account.

Aesthetic needs almost forced the artist to give up singing: “There were many moments when I wanted to give up music, but I remained steadfast and strong. And everything I went through was the foundation for me to become who I am, a warrior and strong”celebrate.

Today she is proud to have built a legacy that spans generations and, above all, to have reached 50 in good health: “I arrived very calmly, but then physiological changes such as menopause arrived. Reaching 50 with physical and mental health is the most important thing. It’s about accepting yourself, understanding that the process is art”.

Even after so many years on the road, the singer maintains her enthusiasm and energy. “One of the factors, among many, that pushed me to pursue a solo career was having control over my schedule. Today I can choose where and when I want to perform. We average monthly shows, and if we go beyond that average, I have to be really worth it so I can get out of the house.”

Family and new projects

Born in Alagoinhas, Bahia, Solange developed a unique relationship with Fortaleza, the city that became her home. “32 years ago, during a mini-vacation in Fortaleza, walking with my mother along the seafront, I said that I would live here. And 10 years later, destiny brought me to this paradise that is Ceará”Remember.

Recording the DVD at the Arena Castelão, an emblematic place of the city, is something that the singer had never thought about, but which today is part of her career as an artist. “I have often passed by Castelão without imagining that one day I would record a mega DVD in that space”speaks.

Solange also gets emotional when she talks about the talent of her son Rafael, who is also involved in a musical career. “Even today I am impressed by his talent. He is multifunctional, he composes, he sings, he will release a new CD in January. He has an entrepreneurial side and will launch a clothing brand together with my other daughter, Estrella”.

As for the future, the singer makes it clear that she will remain focused on her craft and providing memorable experiences for her fans. “Throughout my career I have experienced good moments and bad moments. The bad ones served me as a school, the good ones elevated me as an artist. What marks me is the mega DVD that I am recording in the parking lot of the Arena Castelão, with paraphernalia of sound and light, I have already recorded other beautiful DVDs, but this one I am sure will be remembered in my life and in that of my fans”he concludes.
