“Brazil is a storehouse of great art talents, in all its areas, literature, music, cinema, theater, plastic arts, dance… Seeing this international recognition for Fernanda only reaffirms this, how necessary it is to believe and invest in our art, in our culture. And this film is a denunciation, as it tells a real story of how Brazil experienced the horror of the dictatorship that arrested, tortured, murdered and disappeared citizens, something that should never be forgotten to NEVER happen AGAIN. Congratulations to our dear Marcelo Rubens Paiva for the book that gave rise to the film. Long live Brazilian cinema, long live national art!”
