Paris Hilton loses a villa in a fire and launches funds to help displaced families


The businesswoman announced the creation of an emergency fund and donated 100,000 dollars to support the victims of the fires

Paris Hilton announced on Friday (10) the creation of an emergency fund to support families who lost their homes due to the forest fires that hit Los Angeles since Tuesday (7). The businesswoman donated $100,000 through the organization Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE) and promised to match other donations totaling $200,000.

“Knowing that so many families are facing the loss of their homes has motivated me to take action. I am launching this fund to support displaced families with young children. I hope others will join me in this cause.” Paris wrote on her social media.

Hilton’s mansion, located in Malibu, was completely destroyed by fire. The socialite described the impact of watching the fire live on television.

The fund mainly focuses on helping families with young children by providing financial assistance, temporary housing and basic necessities for evacuation shelters. Part of the resources will also be allocated to animal shelters.
