Materials produced by the vocalist outside of Iron Maiden will receive new mixes and even bonus tracks

Bruce Dickinson He has returned to taking a more affectionate look at his solo career in recent times. In 2024, the vocalist released the album The Mandrake Project — the first since 2005 — and returned to performing shows in this format, including a seven-date tour of Brazil. The singer, it is worth highlighting, returns to the country in September to perform at The Townin São Paulo.

It shouldn’t stop there. In an interview with Classic Rock (via Igor Miranda website), Dickinson said she will revisit her catalog by re-releasing her other solo albums. Excluding the recent The Mandrake Projectthere are six studio works, four of them made available while the vocalist was out of work. Iron Maidenfor much of the 1990s.

The idea is for the material to be remixed and even have bonus tracks. The first to be considered will be Balls to Picasso (1994), notorious for being his first since leaving Maiden — second overall — and for bringing the ballad “Tears of the Dragon”.

“With all the new technology, you can give things more weight. […] Balls to Picasso It’s the album we’ve messed with the most. We added more guitars, more keyboards and orchestration. Let’s rename it More Balls to Picasso, just to differentiate [da versão original].”

The 1994 album will receive its new version in August. There is still no official announcement beyond Bruce’s statement, but it is known that the singer has recently been working with the record label BMG. Subsequently, there will be Skunworks (1996), Tattooed Millionaire (1990), Accident of Birth (1997) and The Chemical Wedding (1998), in the order mentioned by the frontman.

In addition to solo commitments, Bruce Dickinson will have a lot of work with the Iron Maiden in 2025. Between May and August, the band tours Europe with the tour Run for Your Liveswhich celebrates the 50th anniversary of the group’s founding. The idea is to continue it in 2026, passing through other territories, including Brazil.

The spin will be Maiden’s first since leaving Nicko McBrain. The drummer remains linked to the formation, but will no longer perform live. simon dawson (British Lion, TheOutfield) will replace it.
