Dua Lipa is scared of fans invading her hotel in Chile

The fans allegedly arrived at the door of the singer’s room when they invaded the Ritz-Carlton, in Santiago, during a stay to record a commercial

What happened

Dua Lipa reportedly went through a tense moment during her stay in Santiago, Chile. According to British newspaper The Sun, fans invaded the Ritz-Carlton, the hotel where the singer was staying, in an attempt to get into contact with the artist. Dua is in the country to shoot a commercial.

According to the tabloid, a security breach would have allowed admirers to access restricted areas of the hotel, even reaching the floor where the singer was. Some even waited outside Dua’s room, while others were found in the elevator. “Things were crazy. She found fans who were desperate to see her,” a source told the British outlet.

Strengthened security measures

After the incident, Dua Lipa’s security team intensified measures at the scene. “A group of fans not only had access to the floor she was on, but were waiting for her outside her room. Security did another search and found more fans waiting in the elevator,” the source added .

According to The Sun, the singer expressed concern and said she “won’t be taking photos inside the hotel.” Despite the scare, the situation was quickly brought under control and Dua Lipa continues with her agenda in the country.

Chilean media, such as the Emol website, reported Dua Lipa’s presence at tourist sites in the country, including Embalse el Yeso and the Atacama Desert, but did not mention the incident at the hotel.

It’s not the first time

This wouldn’t be the first incident involving privacy violations faced by Dua Lipa. While preparing for her performance at the Glastonbury festival in the UK, the singer experienced a similar situation. The unauthorized fans managed to access the space reserved for the tests, creating a climate of tension and concern for their safety. The episode, like the one that occurred in Chile, highlighted the gaps in protection protocols and highlighted the need to strengthen security measures to ensure privacy in public and professional engagements.

Despite these challenges, Dua Lipa plans to continue her tour in March, promoting her third album, “Radical Optimism.” The presentations, which end in October in the United States, are not expected to come to Brazil.
