Banda has overcome all kinds of obstacles throughout their trajectory, but something in particular would be crucial to the end, according to the singer
THE Iron Maiden He surpassed several obstacles throughout his trajectory. Training changes, ups and lows in popularity, different phases of the music industry… The list is large. Even so, the group has never paused for their activities.
According to Bruce Dickinsonthere is only one situation that would make Maiden run out immediately. In an interview with Classic Rock (via Guitar.com / Igor Miranda website), the vocalist made it clear that no one would agree to use pre-recorded material during the shows. If this became necessary, it means that it is time to end activities.
He said:
“The idea of turning the band into Maiden’s Disneyland version using pre-recorded tracks, some tricks… No. Maiden has to be one hundred percent real-and absolutely fierce.”
Dickinson revealed that the English band refuses even to use more serious tunes to facilitate their vocal performance. And stressed: the day when it is necessary to “mask” the execution with pre-recorded bands, the group will leave the scene.
“Recently, a guy, a big fan, said to me, ‘It’s amazing to see Maiden still active.’ I said, ‘Yes, and we’re really doing it.’ We are not using lower tunings. This guy said, ‘Many bands use pre-recorded tracks these days’. And I said, ‘We are no way.’ [O dia em que usarmos faixas pré-gravadas] It will be the day I get stuck. Or the day we stop. If it’s not real, it’s not Maiden. ”
Iron Maiden and Run for Your Lives
While this doesn’t happen, Iron Maiden continues. And it already has marked appointments: the band will take their next 50 -year -old tour, RUN FOR YOU LIVESto Europe. There are scheduled shows on the old continent between May and August.
In 2026, the itinerary is expected to be expanded to other continents – including Brazil, a country that Bruce Dickinson visits his solo career on September 7, for a presentation at the Paulistano Festival The Town.
With repertoire focused on the nine initial albums – the 1980 debut to Fear of the Dark (1992) -, the coming excursion marks the first occasion in decades when Maiden will perform without Nicko McBrain. The drummer, a member since 1982, has moved away from the road activities and will be replaced by Simon Dawson (British Lion, The Outfield etc).
