Metal Festival is scheduled to take place at the Latin America Memorial in São Paulo, between May 2, 3 and 4
The Paulistano Festival Bangers Open Air announced changes in his lineup. The German bands Blind Guardian and Destruction were climbed to replace KNOCKED LOOSE and We Came the Romanswho removed their participation on May 4, 2025, third and last day of the event.
In a statement, the production states that ‘made every effort to keep them on the lineup, but unfortunately it was not possible. “The text adds:
“It was a unilateral decision of the bands to withdraw from the festival and it should be noted that both are represented by the same agent, already had the contracts and had already received the agreed payments.”
Blind Guardian, which was one of the festival’s main attractions in 2023 – when it was still called Summer Breeze Brasil -, will present the greatest hits of your career, with the show “The Bucket Full of Hits Show”. In a note, the vocalist Hansi Kürsch states:
“It is with great joy that we announce our participation in Bangers Open Air 2025! We can barely wait to return to the Latin America Memorial, a stage that has already given us unforgettable moments with you. Our last ticket out there was epic, and we are sure this time it will be even more special! ”
Destruction return to Brazil to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their first album, Infernal Overkill. The vocalist and bassist Schmier highlights:
“When we recorded the album in 1985, we could never imagine that 40 years later we would celebrate this birthday in Brazil, Germany and Norway in such a grand way. The album and its classics are timeless and so they receive the honor they deserve. We make history together! ”
