Music Lolla Brasil Band that can be processed by disappointing show

Before traveling through Latin America, Tool promised to perform two presentations with different setlists at his own festival – and part of that did not occur

Let the first stone throw who never watched a disappointing show. However, it seems that the Tool It led this to a new level, as devotee fans of the American band consider moving a joint action against the presentation organizers – who can have the musicians themselves as participants, as they occurred at their own festival.

Not that the group, notorious for their intricate compositions and instrumental ability, has touched badly. The problem is that, according to this angry portion of the public, there was misleading propaganda.

The quartet formed by Maynard James Keenan (voice), Adam Jones (guitar), Justin Chancellor (low) and Danny Carey (drums) held, last weekend, the first edition of his own festival: TOOL IN THE SANDin a paradise place in the Dominican Republic. Other bands performed, but of course no one generated as much expectation as the owners of the party – which, curiously, will hold on the 30th the first show of their history in Brazil, as part of the Lollapaloozain São Paulo.

The occasion really seemed to be special: the band confirmed two shows at the three -day event and promised to offer a totally different repertoire on each of the dates. A gift quite for fans who were willing to pay amounts that were around $ 6,000 in packages for one to four people.

However, this was the great sin. The pair of performances really happened, but the second night’s setlist had not so much moved compared to the first.

As pointed out by Setlist.fm (via Igor Miranda website), Tool played ten songs in the first performance of Friday, 7. The next day, it was only nine-and four of them had already appeared in the previous repertoire. Namely: “Fear Inoculum”, “Jambi”, “Pneuma” and “Rosetta Stoned”.

A video that circulated on social networks shows some fans booing and even showing the middle finger to the band in full presentation. Later, a lawyer and admirer called STAS RUSEK reported to Metal Hammer who seeks other people to file a collective action through your company, Stasio French Rusek, LLC. He, who guarantees not to charge anything to take care of the process, says:

“The possible process against Tool in the Sand promoters is considered. These were my 27th and 28th Tool shows. There was a sense of betrayal in the air when the show started the second night, which remained. Buyers of the festival packages received the promise of ‘two unique sets’ of Tool. We can discuss what is ‘unique’, but the opportunity to see Tool play two exclusive sets – that is, without repetition – was decisive for most participants to spend thousands of dollars to attend. ”

Rusek points out that this type of requirement does not occur in conventional tour shows. In their words, fans know that the band’s songs are complex, so they understand when the band does not promote changes in repertoires. However, the case of the festival was different, since there was this promise on the part of the quartet.

So far, band and promoters of the event have not spoken. In their next appointments, the group will go through Mexico, Argentina (Lollapalooza), Chile (Lollapalooza) and Colombia (Estereo Picnic). The presentation in Brazil is the last in the current agenda.
