The announcement was made by Billy Joel on his social networks, where the singer explained that he needs another four months to recover from a recent surgery and undergo physical therapy sessions. “Even if I’m sorry to postpone any presentation, my health should come first. I can’t wait to return to the stage and share the joy of live music with our fantastic fans. Thanks for understanding,” said the artist on Instagram.
Joel’s tour is still scheduled to resume on 5 July at the Acisure Stadium in Pittsburgh. The presentation in Salt Lake City will be a rare event, since the singer has performed only once in the state in the last 17 years. The show at the Rice-Eccles stadium is part of a series of presentations announced in collaboration with Sting.
Tickets already purchased for the original date remain valid for the event reprogrammed by 2026.
