In December last year, Lauren Mayberry released his debut solo album, titled Vicious Creature. This week the leader of the Scottish Band CHVRCHES shared a new version of the track “Sorry, etc, etc.” with Joe Talbotsinger and composer of Idles.
In an Instagram post, the Scottish artist said that “anyone who knows me knows how much I love idles, so it’s really an honor to sing near Joe.”
Tall and Mayberry they met during the covid-19 pandemic period, when she collaborated in a special series of videos Joe on youtube that called “Balley TV”. In a press release, she also said:
I sent a message to Joe last summer about working together and this is the song we decided. We recorded your vocals in December at Brighton Electric when Idles There was a night off on the tour. I rewrote my (more strident) vocals at home before Christmas with Sam Stewartand I was produced by my friend Paul Gallagher. “
