Singer was accused by artist Vince Vince Vance of copying his song in “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, but Judge rejected the complaint

The singer Mariah Carey won a copyright process filed against it in the United States because of the hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You”. The accusation was made by singer and songwriter country Vince Vance. He claimed that the pop artist had copied the homonymous Christmas jingle released by his band, Vance & The Valiantsin 1988.
However, the judge Mónica Ramírez Almadani rejected the allegations. In the decision, she cites arguments given by a researcher that the two tracks were “different” and shared “common Christmas song clichés, found in many other songs.
