Alexandre de Moraes has been in the public radar in recent years due to his work as Minister of Supreme Federal Court (STF). It is not the first demonstration of affection from Alcione. In 2024, during a presentation in Brasilia, the artist declared herself to the STF minister while also pulled choir for the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). She said:

“What is the name of my minister? Alexandre de Moraes, my bald. I like him very much.”

Vote of Alexandre de Moraes decisive in a complaint against Bolsonaro

According to Brazil agencyAlexandre de Moraes’s vote was decisive for the ministers of the first class of the court to make the former president defendants Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and seven more accused of the crucial core of the complaint about the coup plot to prevent President Lula’s third term.

“There is no doubt that the Attorney’s Office pointed out more than enough, reasonable, materiality and authorship elements to receive the complaint against Jair Messias Bolsonaro”said Minister Alexandre de Moraes, rapporteur of the case in the Supreme, referring to the accusation presented last month by the Attorney General, Paulo Gonet.

Accepts the complaint, the eight defendants become the condition of defendants, responding to a criminal case in the Supreme for crimes of armed criminal organization, attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, coup, damage qualified by violence and serious threat and deterioration of listed heritage.

With the opening of the criminal case, lawyers may appoint witnesses and ask for the production of new evidence to prove the defense theses. There is no set date for the trial, which depends on the progress of the procedural instruction. Until then, the defendants must respond to the process in freedom. According to the Supreme Court itself, any prison to serve the sentence should only occur after the final judgment of the criminal action. That is, when it is no longer possible to submit any appeal against any conviction.
