Lady Gaga has spoken openly about battling fibromyalgia and depression and thanked her family for their support in the process.

Lady Gaga confessed to being afraid of not being able to perform at the last show held in London, last Sunday, August 31, during a presentation that was part of the world tour entitled The Chromatica Ball.

The 36-year-old actress and singer vented to her audience at London’s Tottenham Stadium about a range of health problems over the years, including anxiety and depression, as well as fibromyalgia, which causes chronic pain and largely responsible for the singer’s cancellation of the Rock concert. in Rio 2017.

As soon as he discovered the chronic illness, Gaga canceled about 10 appointments on her tour schedule to treat the disease and explained to her fans: “I’m so devastated I don’t even know how to describe it. Fibromyalgia syndrome is a clinical disease that manifests itself with pain throughout the body, especially in the muscles. Along with the pain also comes a strong tiredness, unrefreshing sleep and other symptoms such as memory and attention changes, anxiety, depression and bowel changes.

“A couple of years before that I had to cancel a show here because I couldn’t do it anymore. And I’m sorry. Sorry to have missed these shows. But it was because of someone very special and many people in my life that I have to thank.”

“That day I left London, I didn’t know if I could be on stage with all of you. I didn’t know if I would make it,” she added, saying her sister helped her a lot during the treatment process.
