The tour of Tarja Turunen Through Brazil started this Sunday, 18, in Curitiba, with a surprise. The Finnish singer performed in acoustic version “Black sheep”classic Rita Leekeeping your lyrics in Portuguese.
This was not the first time that the former member of the Nightwish honored Brazilian music on stage. In 2018, she played “Flashlight”d ‘The Paralamas of Successin national excursion.
Sunday’s performance in the capital of Paraná was held at the wire opera with sold out tickets. Throughout the turn, it performs next to Marko Hietalaformer partner of the band with whom it has reconnected in recent years.

The repertoire of the night featured other surprises for fans of the Finnish artist. In the first stage of the repertoire, Turunen played “In for a kill”, “Sing For Me” and “Deliverance”songs that have not been presented live since 2015, 2016 and 2019, respectively. Already in the second part, mostly acoustic, she was next to Hietala for a combination of “The Crying Moon” + “Feel For You” + “Eagle Eye”in addition to “Higher Than Hope” (Nightwish), “Left on Mars”, “Slaying The Dreamer” (Nightwish), “Silent Masquerade”, “Wishmaster” (Nightwish) and “Wish i Had an angel” (Nightwish), the latter already in the bis.
In an interview with Rolling Stone BrazilTarja had anticipated that he would offer the audience a very different collection of songs from what was seen in the previous national tour last year. She stated:
“It’s fantastic to be able to go back so fast after what happened. We renew everything. It’s not the same show. It’s definitely a new configuration, a new setlist and everything else. It’s fantastic. We’ll even have a string orchestra [em São Paulo]. Get excited, because it’s absolutely different. ”
The Tarja Turunen and Marko Hietala agenda for Brazil continues Tuesday, 20, at Mister Rock, in Belo Horizonte; Thursday, 22, at Araújo Vianna Auditorium, in Porto Alegre; and Saturday, 24, at Tokio Marine Hall, in São Paulo. The final presentation will have orchestra and will be recorded for later release on DVD. Tickets go on sale in official website.
