‘House of Kong’ exhibition plunges into the history of the virtual band and gives early access to limited copper box arena shows
To celebrate its 25 years of career, the Gorillaz It will open the doors of your universe with a new immersive exhibition in London. Entitled HOUSE OF KONGthe show will be held at the Copper Box space between August 8 and September 3, offering the public a rare visit behind the scenes of the virtual band created by Damon Albran and Jamie Hewlett.
During this period, fans will be able to explore the band’s trajectory since the release of the first single, “Tomorrow Comes Today”in 2000, going through its unique aesthetics and musical innovation that challenges the limits between reality and fiction. The animated members MURDOC NICCALS, 2D, Russel Hobbs and Noodle They gain prominence in a narrative that mixes chaos, creativity and pop culture.
The exhibition will operate daily from 10:30 am to 10 pm, with tickets from £ 25, approximately R $ 190.
As part of the celebrations, the Gorillaz It has also announced a series of four live performances at the same place on dates selected between August and September. Those who purchase tickets for the exhibition will have exclusive access to the pre-sale of the shows, whose complete details will be released soon.
