Lewis Capaldi made a surprising and exciting return to Glastonbury This Friday, June 27, two years after prematurely ending his presentation at the festival due to a crisis caused by Tourette syndrome.

Without prior warning, the singer took the stage for a seven song set, opening with “Before You Go” and including successes like “Forget Me” and “Hold Me While You Wait”. Capaldi also debuted the unpublished “Survive”its first new track since the re -launch of the disc Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sentin January 2024.

But the most touching point of the night came at the closing, with “Someone you love”the same song that, in 2023, he could not end without the public support. Now, in a moment clearly loaded with emotion, he said: “I couldn’t sing this song for two years. Maybe today I have difficulty for other reasons. My name is Lewis Capaldi And I’m back, p ****! ”

Even in a firm voice, the crowd made a point of singing with him from beginning to end.

After the show, Capaldi He thanked the public and the festival for welcoming him again. “It’s amazing to be here with you. I can’t thank you enough for coming. The second time is the worth, right?” He said. “I just wanted to go back and finish what I couldn’t get the first time on this stage.”

It was a short, but meaningful presentation, and a powerful memory of the force that exists in vulnerability.
