Marvel’s adorable video shows Kathryn Newton freaking out because her Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania costume appears in new concept art

There are so many superhero properties on the lists of Marvel Studios, DC Films, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix … Basically, it seems like if you’re a working actor and don’t have a superhero role yet, you need to call your agent. What’s really exciting, though, is to see a young actor who has literally grown up over the past 10 years of MCU entertainment get the chance to play a role in an established Marvel franchise. This is where we find it Rare co-star Kathryn Newton, who Connected Ant-Man and the Vespa: Quantumania to play an earlier version of Scott Lang’s daughter Cassie. And now she, thanks to some great concept art from Ant-Man and the Wasp, she reveals that she will be wearing a purple Ant-Girl costume.

Kathryn Newton didn’t really know it was known when she met Gossipify at San Diego Comic-Con after the Marvel Studio Hall H sign so his reaction to the news is invaluable.

As you can see, Kathryn Newton’s Cassie Lang will set herself apart from Scott (Paul Rudd) and Hope (Evangeline Lillie) by sporting a purple dress, which according to the actress shows her favorite color, just a happy accident. Newton told Gossipify:

Purple is my favorite colour. I thought it was magical. I walked in and saw a purple leather superhero costume and thought, ‘Yeah. It was for me!

I’m a huge fan of the actors who see themselves in their superhero costumes, especially when it’s their first time playing a major character. Simu Liu told us about the day on the set where seen his Shang-Chi costume and his story still gives me goosebumps as I imagine how she must have felt for him.

Now the excitement is falling on Kathryn Newton, who plays Cassie Lang for the first time, and will apparently head to the Quantum Realm with Scott and Hope to face Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) as the first film in the series. Marvel’s Phase 5 recently confirmed . Kevin Feige explained that stages four to six will form what we now know as The Multiverse Saga and we will have it huge ramifications for the MCU both in the present and in the future. It could mean the introduction of new characters or the development of existing heroes who head for alternate adventures.
