The second song of the repertoire performed at night, “Acquiesce”it is not even a surprise, as it was a constant presence in the pre-2009 performances. However, the story behind it is interesting and relatively unusual for a band of this size.
“Acquiesce” It is not on any Oasis studio album. It is present only in the collection of sides B The Masterplanmade available in 1998 and set up from a fan vote on the group’s official website.
Its original release occurred as B side of the single “Some Might Say”first compact of the Gallagher brothers and company reaching the top of the British parade. And the presence did not occur to fill sausage: the song of vocals shared by Liam and Noel is so strong that, even outside the album of the time, (What’s the story) Morning Glory? (1995), entered the list of public favorites.
The show is still going on until the moment of publication of this article, but the band has played “Hello”, “Morning Glory”, “Some Might Say”, “Cigarettes & Alcohol”, “Supersonic”, “Talk Tonight”among others. The expectation is a set of approximately two hours.
