Musicorde says that obsession with weight has removed her from creativity

Singer reveals that food disorder blocked her inspiration and that rediscovering balance helped her create the Virgin album

Lord He opened his heart over a recent period of his life when he felt completely distant from his art. In an interview with BBC Radio 1the singer revealed that her creativity was harshly affected by a dietary disorder, which took over her thoughts for months.

“In early 2023, I was bad in many ways,” he said.

I never felt so disconnected from my creativity. I hadn’t had an idea for a long time.

According to her, the mind was dominated by obsessive thoughts with weight and food.

All I thought was to weigh as little as possible. I was going to sleep thinking about food, woke up thinking about food and exercise. That became my creative focus. All my energy was going to it.

It was only realizing how much this behavior was impacting his art that Lord decided to seek help and make changes. “When I stopped with it, it all started to come back.”

The reunion with your health and your artistic identity culminated in Virginalbum released last month and presented live for the first time in a surprise show in Glastonbury. Since then, the artist has been openly spoken to fans about her relationship with the body and the effects of this process.
