Project includes four songs recorded by the artist especially for the biography directed by Esmir Filho with a soundtrack produced by Amabis
Ney Matogrosso This Friday, 18, launched the EP of unpublished recordings Man with h. The project is derived from the acclaimed biography directed by Smir Filho.
At EP, Ney brings four songs: “Rosa de Hiroshima” (Vinicius de Moraes), “The world is a mill” (Top hat), “Little House” (Unknown author/public domain) and “Requiem for Matraga” (Geraldo Vandré). The tracks were recorded especially for the film, which had a soundtrack produced by the studio Amabisled by the brothers Gui, Rich and MARIANA AMABIS.

Right in the pre-production of the film, the Smir Filho I thought what songs would be in biography. And the unreleased songs were already in the plans. “There were songs from the history of Neythat he sang before he came up on the stage with Dry & Wetand others that had never been recorded, ”the director told Rolling Stone Brazil. Conscious about the importance of these songs for the story itself, Ney He agreed the idea.
Each track present in the EP had a specific journey. Opening happens with the rewriting of the classic “Rosa de Hiroshima”. The version is not in the movie, but was thought of as a celebratory track. Then appears “The world is a mill”song of Top hat that has already won the voice of Ney on other opportunities, and now it comes up with João Camarero on the guitar.
“‘Small House’ – that covers the phase of Ney In Brasilia, at the beginning of his career as a musician – he started from the research of the Madrigais coral repertoire of the 1950s/60. We invite the vocal arranger Tarita de Souza to get and regiment the choir that accompanies Ney in the recording of the song and in the scene of the movie ”, Gui amabis. Finally, “Requiem for Matraga” represents the singer’s relationship with the composer Luhli.
