Band celebrates leadership in vinyl sales with provocative t-shirt and humorous message after overthrowing classic Oasis albums
Wet Leg did not miss the opportunity to pin the Oasis After guaranteeing the top of the British charts with their second album, Moisturizerlaunched on July 11. In a humorous tone, the band posted a photo on social networks celebrating the feat, with the vocalist Rhian Teasdale displaying the disc and wearing a t -shirt that mimics the logo of Oasisbut with a visual prank.
In place of brothers Gallagherthe design of the t -shirt prints an image of the characters in the movie Debi & Loid (1994), reinforcing the satirical tone of the provocation. In the Instagram story, the band still wrote: “Yay, Eat Shit Oasis Hehe”.

The band’s new album reached first place both in Official Vinyl Albums Chart as in Official Record Store Chartbeing the best selling album of the week in independent stores in the UK. Therefore, Wet Leg broken three albums from Oasis: Time Fliesβ¦ 1994-2009 (3rd place), (What’s the story) Morning Glory?(4th) and Definery Maybe (5th).
Formed by Rhian Teasdale, Hester Chamber, Henry Holmes, Josh Mobaraki and Ellis Durandthe Wet Leg It has been consolidating its space as one of the most expressive bands of the current indie scene, uniting good humor, dancing riffs and ironic comments, including British music icons.
The irreverent attitude has been a trademark of the group since its debut album, and the recent parade victory is another chapter on the band’s upward trajectory. Between criticism and an increasingly faithful fandom, the Wet Leg It seems to have as much fun as your listeners.
