The show presents contemporary rereading of the artist’s work, combining new arrangements, renewed energy and a band formed by musicians who were part of their career. The proposal goes beyond the celebration of the great successes, inviting the public to rediscover less known tracks – the “sides C” – one of the biggest names in Brazilian music.

The show comes from the reunion of Nilo Romero with records of the last tour of Cazuzaduring the production of the documentary. The immersion on VHS tapes recorded at the time brought out the desire to revive the repertoire and the presence of the friend. The tribute gains strength with sensitive and powerful interpretations, especially the singer’s vocals KATIA JORGESENwhich offers a female reading to iconic songs.

In the repertoire, classics like “Brazil”, “Exaggerated”, “Ideology” and “Codename Hummingbird” mix with less obvious bands, as “Accomplice”, “Thanks”, “Weak Point” and “Blues of the year 2000” – All under the affective look of those who lived alongside the artist.

CAZUZA, GOOD NEW

The documentary portrays one of the most intense, productive and symbolic periods of the Cazuza. Between 1987 and early 1989, even facing the diagnosis of AIDS and a severe health aggravation, the singer and composer lived a creative explosion: he released three albums, was awarded several times and performed more than 40 performances with the show Time does not stopwhich would become one of the milestones of his career.

In the trailer, it is possible to have a glimpse of the emotional and artistic power of this phase: behind the scenes of the shows, archive images, intimate moments and unpublished testimonials of big names like Ney Matogrosso, Gilberto Gil, Frejat and Lucinha Araújo.
