The albums of Anthology of the 1990s had a classic introduction of Derek Taylorlongtime friend of the band, advertising and confidant. He proclaimed, in a famous way, that the Beatles They were “the greatest novel of the twentieth century.” Beautiful words, but he had no way of knowing that, thirty years later, the world’s novel with the Beatles It would be more passionate than ever. THE Anthology It was a key piece for this to happen. It has become a global event that raised the band’s popularity to new levels, heating an entire generation of young fans.

THE Anthology It was a radical approach to tell the story of Beatlesno narrator, without expert interviews, only the band’s own members, closely and personally, with a multitude of unpublished images that fans never imagined. She travels all the epic saga of Beatlesfrom its early days in Liverpool to its black leather nights in Hamburg, going through the years of innovation and experimentation, until the end of the band and the death of John Lennon. You Fab Four Survivors speak more sincerely than ever, while remembering how they lived the insane explosion of Beatlemania and the US invasion. As George He says, “They used us as an excuse to go crazy, the world did it, and then blamed us.”

THE Anthology It was a turning point in the post-death life of Beatles. She proved once and for all that the growing popularity of the band had nothing to do with nostalgia, but all to do with the way their music talked to the present moment, as it still does, thirty years later. The project is full of classic scenes that have become a permanent part of the history of Beatlesincluding exciting moments when the three sit on the grass, playing and singing together. In one of the most beloved scenes, Paul responds to the longtime debate on whether the White album It was too long. He is quite diplomatic about this: “It was great!” respond Paul. “Sell! It’s the damn White album of the Beatles! Shut up! ”.

But the albums were so crucial to the phenomenon of Anthology As for the movie itself. The legendary producer George Martin made the three double cd packages, with his teenage son Giles as your apprentice. All three volumes were full of unpublished pearls of the files – Takes, Demos, Live Clips, Studio Conversations. (“Paul It broke a glass! ”) It was the first time they opened the coffers to share some of the treasures they were stored and not heard all these years.

As crazy as it seems now, in 1995, no one was sure if the audience wanted to hear something like that. But the albums have become big hits, surprising the music industry. It was found that people were hungry for more Beatlesmuch more than the experts had noticed, especially the young fans who were starting to discover the band. The world was in the middle of the musical revolution of the 1990s-modern rock, britpop, electronics, hip-hop-with Beatles more influential than ever. These albums started a series of successful file projects in the last decade, starting with the essential editions of Sgt. Pepper and The White Albumbesides films like Eight Days to Week: The Touring YearS, Beatles ’64 and GET BACKfrom Peter Jackson.

THE Anthology of the 90s included two new songs, “Free As a Bird” and “Real Love”based on John Lennon of the 1970s, recorded at his home at Dakota. Paul, George and Ringo finished the songs in the studio for Anthology. Both became international successes, despite the significant technical limitations of the original tapes of John. But both were rewritten by the original producer Jeff Lynneusing the “Demixing” technology pioneering in the movie GET BACK of Jacksonbesides the last song of Beatles, “Now and then”. The music video “Free As a Bird” It was restored both visually and sound.

Complete albums will be available in a 180 -gram vinyl 8 LPs set and an 8 CD box set by Apple Corps Ltd./capitol/umg – totaling 191 tracks. They will also be digitally released for purchase and streaming. THE Beatles Store It will have exclusive editions of both sets, including four art cards with photos of the band in numbered envelopes. The boxes include the original cover notes, as well as new notes of the band expert Kevin Howlett.

The book Anthology will be released in a new edition Brochura by Apple Corps Ltd./chronicle Books. With the immense size of a coffee table book, it is much more than that, it is a milestone in the history of Beatles by itself. It goes even deeper than the series, with detailed comments from all three that did not fit the screen version, as well as unpublished interviews made especially for the book. All three Beatles survivors gave access to their private files, while comments and photos of Lennon They come from their public and private archives. The consultant editor was Derek Taylorwho worked on the project until his death in 1997. He did not live to see the finish, but would have loved to see as “the greatest novel of the twentieth century” was about to get even warmer in the next century.

In the book Anthology, Lennon Talk about childhood dreams that helped inspire “Free As a Bird”. “A recurring dream, throughout my life, was the flying part,” he recalled in 1971.

It always flew when there was danger. I remember this as a child, flying, as if swimming in the air. I swam where I lived or somewhere I knew very well. The other times in the dreams I remember are nightmares, where there was a giant horse or something, and whenever it came close to a danger point, I flying away.

The flight has always been a fantasy for him. “Some of my most vivid dreams were about being on a plane, flying over a certain part of Liverpool. It was when I was at school. The plane used to fly around repeatedly, rising more and more.” What John Lennon And his bandmates made these dreams transformed the world. That was the flight they took together, and this is the story that the four Beatles They are counting on Anthology.
