THE Spotify announced that it will integrate a direct message function – or DMS – on the app this Monday 26. The messages entitled, the news will allow users to recommend songsPodcast or audioolivros for friends and family within the platform itself.
According to the application, the function was created by the user’s requests. “For artists, authors and creators, an easy sharing means more recommendations for the mouth and helps to win new fans. Our goal is to give users what they want and make these moments of connection more fluid and dynamic in the Spotify application,” wrote the company in a press release.
When will the Spotify chat be available?
According to the platform, messages will be made available for both users who use Spotify for free users and premiums that start this week. The only criterion is that only people or more than 16 years will have access to the appeal.
How will the Spotify chat work?
Direct messages will be accessible when clicking on the profile photo in the upper left corner of the app. Users will be able to share content only with people with whom they interacted on the platform – in case of unwanted messages, it will be possible to report the content or account.
To send a song, a podcast or audioolivro, click on the sharing icon in the lower right corner of the screen and choose a friend. After receiving a message, it will be possible to react with texts and emojis.
