The actor invests in a musical career, records songs by Guilherme Arans, Djavan and João Bosco, and celebrates the international success of the Kleber Mendonça Filho film “The Secret Agent”, of which he is part of the cast

Although singing is not new for his career – Leone, 32 years old, has started his career as an actor in the musical theater – this will be his first work of work as such: a disc with tracks with which he can show himself without a character constituted due to a script, but with a sewing of feelings he wants to express with his voice.
“It’s an adventure, but like the actor stuff I have, to interpret. I am an interpreter, I have this tool to work with the text and find measurements for each song,” says Leone, wanting to embrace the sound and images in the new job in the last seven years. “I would never do something to do or purely commercial,” he adds.
A disc with sides B
THE Estadão He accompanied exclusively an afternoon recording of the album, in a study in the Bela Vista district, in San Paolo, and listened to three other songs: Satan BoleroPartnership by Guinga and Paulo César Pinheiro, Cryby Ivan Lins and Vitor Martins, e Clean faceby Paulo Vanzolini. The traces were still with a guide voice, which acts as a base for the band and arrangements.
Produced by Marcus Preto, who worked with names like Gal Costa, Erasmo Carlos and Jota.pê, and the musician Tó Brandileone, of group 5 in Seco, the album also presents traces such as We bothby Celso Adolfo; So without everS, by João Bosco, Antonio Cicero and Waly Salomão; AND Thisby Luhli and Lucina, who should earn a duet with Ney matogrossowhich recorded the track in the 80s, among others. The singer Juliana Linhares was also invited to participate. In all there is a common element: the drama.
Leone assumes that this is a “sad” album. “Yes, there is this weight, which speaks a lot with my profession, the actor I sent to be. Satan BoleroFor example, it is a recent passion of an author (Guinga), who has changed my way of listening to music, “he says about the song that has the best known version with Elis Regina and Caudby Peixoto, 1979. Leone invited Guinga Pata to play the guitar on the track.
In addition to the drama, there is another detail: traces are what is called B -Side of the artists. An example: instead of choosing AçaíHit by Djavan, Leone has selected SecretA less known than the composer. “It’s very Nerd, in this sense. Sometimes I bring me songs that I didn’t even know,” says Marcus Preto, on Leone’s choices.
The actor, and now officially singer, justifies. “The songs have a history, a common topic. They bring the concept of the album. The most important thing is that these songs move a lot with me. My idea is to put my feeling in them, so that they reach people,” he says.
After the selection of the tracks, it was necessary to give a “face” to the album and sew so distinct authors. “It’s a radical MPB record, but with one foot on the rock,” says Leone. “I am a rocker. But we played here in the studio that I like, in the same extent, Fagner and Led Zeppelin. I feel like that. My heart listens to the MPB artists with the same passion and interest as rock.
Career between music and screens
Rock made Leone’s head from high school when he formed a band dedicated to genre with friends. With the approach to theater and the difficulty of finding tests for pieces, Leone has found its way to musical auditions. He did it The miserable, Rhapsody – The Musical, Boys AND Chacrinha, the musical – In the latter, the singer played Roberto Carlos, a character who has returned to life in the film My fame of badIn 2019.

More recently, Leone was in the American production function Ferrari (2023) and recited in the series Seine (2024), from Netflix, works that gave him the international projection as an actor. And everything indicated that he would bet his chips on this door that opened. Leone wants, but also wants to sing. From your point of view, everything adapts right now.
“I don’t pretend to change profession, on the contrary. This album is a first dip in music. I am already happy for the process, which is something I love. So I see what will happen,” says Leone, who already thinks of possible shows.
“The Secret Agent” and “My Tears” united by a feeling
Leone is also in the cast of The secret agentPernambuco director film Kleber Mendonça Filho. The characteristic, which took place in the 70s, in the context of military dictatorship, has Wagner Moura as the protagonist. Winner of two prizes in Cannes, the best director of Kleber Mendonça Filho and best actor for Moura, the film is already ventilated as a possible nomand for the 2026 Oscar from the Cinema Press.

In the film, Leone plays Bobbi, a character linked to the military regime and defined by the actor as “silent”. Leone praises Mendonça Filho’s ability to create really interesting assistants.
“There are about 70, all sewn by the character of Wagner Moura, who, incidentally, in this film, is in his apex as an actor,” says the actor. In the cast, there are still names such as Maria Fernanda Cândido, Alice Carvalho, Thomás Aquino, Tânia Maria and Hermila Guedes.
The secret agent It is scheduled for debut in Brazil on November 6th. “It is a truly extraordinary script. I am very critical of the work I participate in which I participate – and sometimes the result is not really good, or we do not expect – but I was so happy after seeing the film for the first time in canni … regardless of the deserved prizes, it is a unique feeling,” he says.
