Meeting between international metal and national punk icons results in solidarity gesture for social project in São Paulo

Rock transcends music. It builds bridges between artists, countries and social causes through gestures that reveal the true essence of the movement. A recent episode perfectly exemplifies this feature: the union between two icons of generations and distinct styles for a social cause.

Bruce Dickinsonvocalist of Iron Maidenhe demonstrated once again that his influence goes beyond the stage. During your time in Brazil to the festival The Townheld at the Interlagos Race Track, the British musician became aware of a Brazilian social project and decided to contribute concretely.

The beneficiary was the Solidarity Veganinitiative coordinated by João Gordoleader of Basement ratswith the wife VIVI TORRICO. The project distributes vegan lunch boxes to homeless people in São Paulo, offering not only food, but dignity and care to the most vulnerable in the capital.

The contribution of Dickinson came in the form of a doll Funko pop! of the Cyborg version of Eddiemascot of Iron Maidenautographed by the singer himself. The item will be raffled to raise funds for the social project.

The delivery was intermediated by Aassifrom Fuel Music Studiowhich highlighted the artist’s usual generosity:

João Gordothrilled with the gesture, shared the moment on social networks and sent an autographed cap as thanks to the British musician. The symbolic exchange represents the meeting between the national punk and the International Heavy Metal united for common values.
