How is it for you and Crypta to be a female presence and a powerhouse in the metal scene?
Fernanda Lira: “I think it’s great to be able to do that to be there to live my dream and at the same time represent all of us, it is a privilege for which I am very grateful. I think the more women conquer spaces and live out their dreams, the better, so being there for us is very meaningful. Only we women know how special it is to see another woman there doing what she loves, you know? So for us this representation is very special, to be there to show other sisters that it is possible to occupy spaces that are mostly male and to play roles that society has not wanted us to do for centuries ”.

In an interview, she confesses that she has already flaunted her way of being metal to prove that she is a fan of metal bands. However, she gradually realized she didn’t need to wear black all the time and she still reveals that she really likes colorful, neon, glitter and holographic. Therefore, we asked Fernanda if she has ever been judged to be less of a metalhead for what she is. The answer was:
Fernanda Lira: “I am a very diverse person with very plural tastes and I like to share it in my socialization with people and on my social networks, which are an extension of my daily life. I like everything that is colorful, shiny, I like tea , i like yoga, i am vegan, i don’t drink alcohol, i like to sing Beyoncé, so i will always talk about these things..
The singer also admitted that she was accused of many other things, but takes a stand. “I don’t care because I never wanted to fit into any rules or what people expect me to do, so the more people say i am not following a pattern, the more i know i am connected to my authenticityand that’s what matters most to me, “he says.
Relationship with the esoteric world

Fernanda Lira: “I’ve always had a little foot in esotericism, but it took me a long time to get into it because I was afraid to start seeing the spirit, these things and I’m scared to death (laughs). But around 2018 I went through some things and there really was a spiritual awakening – I started a real journey of self-knowledge and in the middle of it, I discovered a great affinity with this mystical side. Today I have several training courses in the area: in addition to tarot and reiki, I have also certified in blessing, fire magic, crystal therapy, apometry, astrology, as well as love to delve into herbs, aromatherapy, among other things. I always study new things! “
