Orquestra Municipal de Jundiaí will perform a concert with compositions by Dom Pedro, and the conductor Claudia Feres commented on the emperor’s musical work
Little-spoken and well-known career of Dom Pedro I will be highlighted in the week of commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence of Brazil. THE Municipal Symphony Orchestra of Jundiaí will perform a concert with the Emperor’s compositions, recalling the monarch’s musical adventures
Having as teacher the Austrian Sigismund Neukomm, Pedro learned to play a variety of instruments as a child and began writing simple but “functional” songs, as he describes Claudia Feresconductor of the orchestra in the performance scheduled for Saturday, September 10.
