Mineiros bring ‘Aquela Paz’, first opera song and new phase

Identidade Sua is a quartet born in the south of Minas that since the assembly of the four members, in 2017, has begun to collect all the attributes to appear in the first echelon of national pop rock. And in this first single of a complete work to come, “Aquela Paz”, the attributes fit into a song that is born with that perfect pop air.
It is worth knowing briefly the trajectory of the group until arriving at the business card of the new work of the group.
Identidade Sua was formed under the influence of what has always enchanted its members: from classic Britpop, such as Coldplay and U2, to more modern and daring bands in arrangements and textures, such as Imagine Dragons and Muse. For quartet, see Rodi Vilhena (keyboard), Jotagê (bass), Biano Martins (drums) and the addition of Nano Silva in the aforementioned year 2017, on guitar and vocals.
If you notice, the lineup has been scaled down on purpose with the keyboard player in the foreground. Well, that’s one of their differentials – the keyboard, piano, and synthesizer arrangements are right in the face, at the forefront of the ensemble’s sound.
The almost exclusively rock bias of the early days has given way to writing and fiction focused on peace and tranquility, on the good vibes that Brazilian music always displayed when extracting the best from the language and colors that form it.
route change
Structured in this way, Identidade Sua naturally transitioned to a sound more suited to the compositional talent of guitarist and singer Nano, which fits into the pop of sticky choruses and a structure that is somehow as simplified as it is captivating.
“This turning point brought, for us too, a different lightness, so it was a very natural path through which we arrived at our best essence”, says bassist Jotagê.
Piloted by Giu Daga, producer awarded with three Latin Grammys, “Aquela Paz” is well translated in the previous paragraphs, but listening reveals a complete meaning, as it refers to the almost subjective beauty that only beautiful compositions offer.
