Behind the scenes of the Brazilian edition of the rock show that brought together a thousand musicians at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo
One of the most interesting shows of 2022, Rockin’ 1000 took place last Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the Allianz Parque, Sao Paulo. THE Rolling Stone Brazil attended the event created by the Italian Fabio Zaffagnini in 2015 and we tell you all behind the scenes.
The differential of Rockin’ 1000 is that it brings together a thousand musicians from all over the world in a single presentation. With vocals, bass, guitars, keyboards and drums, the show features several rock classics. In São Paulo it was no different: there was “Enter Sandman,” “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” “come together” and “Don’t Look Back In Anger.”

Registration started about a month before the official date of the show, and each candidate had to submit a video playing the respective instrument. Selected for the process, the musicians received the figures to prepare for a month. A few days before the presentation, there were some rehearsals.
With a fully packed stadium, Rockin’ 1000 moved not only the public, but also the thousand musicians who participated in the entire “opera.” In fact, this is one of the main motivations for the initiative, according to Fabio Zaffagnini.
Rockin’ 1000 it’s a theme of people, a passion for music, a message of unity and collaboration between different people who do the same thing – and together they can do something great.
In addition, the great host of the night was the singer supplewho was delighted with the scale of the entire live production: “I have never participated in Rockin’ 1000, but I’ve played shows with several drummers. Now there are 200 guitarists, 200 bass players, there are a thousand musicians playing. Looks like the crowd is going to war.”
