The Brazilian received her first nomination at the American Music Awards 2022 this Thursday (13/10) in the Favorite Latin Artist category
Anitta is experiencing a week of international recognition. After being nominated for MTV’s EMA (Europe Music Awards), she will also compete for the AMA (American Music Awards).
The Brazilian received her first nomination at the American Music Awards 2022 in the Favorite Latin Artist category this Thursday (13/10), along with Becky G, Kali Uchis, Karol G and Rosalía.
The award also has Bad Bunny as the nomination record holder, competing for eight awards, including the Artist of the Year trophy, for which he will compete with Adele, Beyoncé, Drake, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd.
AMA 2022 will take place on November 20 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, United States.
On Wednesday (12), Anitta was also nominated for the Best Latin Artist award at EMA 2022, competing with Shakira, Bad Bunny, Becky G, J Balvin and Rosalía. The MTV European Awards are set for November 13 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Additionally, Anitta still competes in two Latin Grammy categories for success Involve, vying for the record of the year and the best reggaeton performance. The awards ceremony will take place on November 17th in Las Vegas, United States.
It is worth mentioning that, last August, she was the first Brazilian to win an award at the Video Music Awards (VMA), the main recognition of the North American MTVs, winning the Silver Astronaut for the best Latin music with Involve.
To complete her year, Anitta can still receive nominations for the Grammy Awards, the largest award in the US music industry. Nominations will be announced on 23 November.
