ANSA – Italian Cristina Scuccia, winner of The Voice in 2014, has announced that she has left consecrated life as a nun and will now embark on a career focused exclusively on music. The revelation of “Suora Cristina” took place on the Verissimo program on Canale 5 this Sunday evening (20).

“I’m no longer a nun. If I look back, I see my journey with a deep sense of gratitude. Change is a sign of evolution, but it’s always scary because it’s always easier to anchor yourself to your certainties than to discuss what you want. C “Is it right or wrong? I believe that with courage we should only listen to the heart”, said the presenter Silvia Toffanin.

Asked about the moment of being religious, Scuccia highlighted that “Sister Cristina is inside me and if I’m here it’s also for her”.

“I believe even more in life and also in God because God is life. My faith has not wavered and I think those were the best years of my life,” she added.

The singer caught Italy’s attention during the TV show’s blind auditions by performing the song Nobodyby Alicia Keys. Success was immediate and the Italian performed in various parts of the world, always through religious associations.
