Grammys 2023: Nirvana to win Lifetime Achievement Award

The Lifetime Achievement Award will be Nirvana’s second award – which won a trophy in 1996 by Acústico MTV

THE Nirvana will be honored at the 65th annual ceremony of the Grammy Awards in recognition of his body of work. The award was confirmed by the Recording Academy, the entity responsible for the celebration, this Thursday, 5.

THE Lifetime Achievement Award will be the second award for the grunge band – which won a trophy in 1996 for Best Alternative Music Performance on Acoustic MTV. Krist Novoselic (down) and Dave Grohl (drums) will receive the honor at a special ceremony taking place at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles on February 4th.

Also honored this year will be the singer Bobby McFerrinthe blues icon Ma Raineythe guitarist Nile Rodgersthe rapper Slick Rick “The Ruler”the girl group The Supremes and the sisters Ann and Nancy Wilsonmembers of the band Heart.

In addition to the musicians honored for their lifetime of work, the Grammy Awards will honor photographer Henry Diltz, who specializes in capturing images of artists, pianist and educator Ellis Marsalis Jr., considered one of the greatest modern jazz instrumentalists, and music producer Jim Stewart, founder of Stab Records.

The highlights are for Beyonce, Adele, doja cat, Harry Styles and Måneskin. In addition, once again at international awards, the Brazilian singer Anita appears among the nominees, this time in the category of New artist. The ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 5 in Los Angeles, United States.
