Evanescence launches makeup line inspired by the album Fallen

Product developed in partnership with HipDot features eight colors that were named after songs like “Bring Me to Life” and “Going Under”

THE Evanescence announced a partnership with the company HipDot for a celebratory makeup line. The product celebrates the 20th anniversary of the release of the band’s debut album, Fallen.

The tributes start with the packaging: the make-up set is presented as a CD case, in eight colors named after songs on the disc. All of them are inspired by the tones present on the cover of the album, the best selling in the band’s history.

In the special makeup, the dark blue tone, for example, took the name of the success “Everybody’s Fool“. The turquoise blue was chosen in homage to the track “My Immortal“, and there are still colors with the names hello (black), Going Under (bright white), Haunted (brilliant blue/silver), bring me to life (matte blue/grey), Taking Over (lilac) and imaginary (Royal blue).

In a press release, the CEO of HipDot, Jeff Sellingerstated that the company is excited to “bring this new concept of beauty to life with an iconic band like the Evanescence”. “Being able to bring together two very different industries with a common goal to shock, surprise and delight is something we are very lucky to be able to do. We hope that with this collaboration we can continue to build momentum around mixing makeup and pop culture.”

Interestingly, the product sold out in a short time, and is no longer available in HipDot’s stock. This isn’t the first time, however, that the company has released commemorative music-related makeup. They have already produced products inspired by the albums follow the leader (1998), do kornand Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (2004), do My Chemical Romance.
