Guinness World Records Confirms Rapper ‘Lalisa’ Has Achieved Three Record Titles As A Solo Artist In The Last Year

Lisaone of the members of BLACKPINKbroke three new world records last year, announced the Guinness Book of World Records this Tuesday, January 24th. The news was shared by the institution itself on its website and social networks.

the rapper Lalisa became the first K-pop solo female winner in MTV VMA’s (Video Music Awards), taking the trophy for Best South Korean Artistand the first solo K-Pop winner in the MTV EMA’s (European Music Awards), where she was nominated twice in the same category – with the solo career and the group BLACKPINK.

In addition, the singer reached the mark of most followed K-pop artist on Instagram, with 87.2 million followers on the platform. As for the bandmates, jennie currently has 73.6 million followers, while rosé has 66.3 million and Jisoo has 67.9 million, as of press time.

The quartet is currently on the Asian leg of the tour. Born Pink Worldhaving recently performed in Bangkok, three separate nights in Hong Kong and a date in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

THE BLACKPINK will make even more history by becoming the first K-pop group to headline Coachella alongside Bad Bunny and Frank Ocean. The achievement comes just four years after the girls made their debut at the festival, as shown in their documentary from the Netflix, Blackpink: Light Up the Sky (2020).
