From 5:00 p.m., the Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona began to fill up to celebrate a new anniversary of the Province of Buenos Aires. As the sun set, thousands of people enjoyed the festival which included rock icons like Las Pelotas and cumbia like Damas Gratis for free.
Designed to enhance the “Buenaerense identity” and so that the whole family could attend, the celebration included groups of all kinds but also other gastronomic and artistic activities.
The event was opened by breaking girls Kesha and Macs, two street dance artists, accompanied by breaking boys Hardcore, who simulated a dance battle. A few minutes later, the first “Código Provincia” stage was activated, where different artists from Buenos Aires began to shine.
Alongside the shows, visitors were able to enjoy the exhibition “135: Parque de la Identidad Bonaerense”, a journey through the cultural diversity of the municipalities, which were represented with their own stands and characteristic activities related to different themes such as production, tourism, artistic activities and creative industries, gastronomy and science, among others.
One of the highlights came closer to 6:00 p.m. when Alika performed on the “Cultura Bonaerense” stage. On the same stage but with the sun already set, the main artists of the celebration were staggered: Lara 91k, Damas Gratis, Las Pelotas and the closing by El Mató a Un Policia Motorizado.
Another star of the evening was the immersive dome, an activation that successfully immersed viewers in a unique experience. With 360° visuals, videos were projected in fulldome format that built a story about the identity of Buenos Aires. On the map of the province, a 3D character planted “cultural flags” that would reflect the identity of Buenos Aires and connect natural and urban landscapes, cultural and sports experiences.
In this experience, all participants were able to see the province like never before, the visuals allowed them to visit the Atlantic coast, the Sierras de Tandil and Centro, the suburbs of Buenos Aires and La Plata from inside the dome.
