New York Governor Katie Hochwell has tested positive for COVID-19.

“Today I tested positive for COVID-19,” he wrote. “Fortunately I am vaccinated and I am stronger and asymptomatic. I will be self-isolating this week and working remotely.”
He concluded by reminding people to take their shots and boosters if they haven’t already.
“A reminder to all New Yorkers: get vaccinated and stay strong, get tested and stay home if you don’t feel well,” he wrote.

On Tuesday, U.S. health officials renewed their recommendation that Americans wear masks on planes, trains and buses, following a court ruling last month that suspended the national mandate for masks on public transportation.
A day later, the director of the World Health Organization, Dr. Michael Ryan warned that countries should not lift all restrictions too quickly, as many in the West have done. He added that it is too early to predict any seasonal patterns related to the virus and noted that there may be more options.
