Sisu : A gold miner attacks the Nazis

After The origins of Santa Claus AND Great gamedirector Jalmari Helander is back Sisu. A feature film that promises to be extremely brutal, given the first trailer. The latter introduces Aatami Korpi (Jorma Tommila), a former soldier turned gold prospector who gets his hands on a gigantic treasure. The problem is that the nearest bank is several hundred kilometers away.

Accompanied by his dog, he leaves for the desert lands of Finland in 1944. Along the way he meets a regiment of Nazis and decimates all the soldiers. A clash that marks the beginning of a gigantic massacre where machine guns explode, heads explode and innards scatter.

A cross between Inglourious Basterds AND John Wick

By featuring a troubled character with a painful past that is obviously reminiscent of John Wick, the film appears to relieve stress in line withInglourious Basterds AND Dead Snow. In the cast we also find Aksel Hennie, recently appeared in sympathetic Travel by Tommy Wirkola.
