A huge Oscar-winning actor who built his career on unusual and eccentric characters, William Hart has died at the age of 71. Many tributes in Hollywood greet his memory.
A prolific and unclassifiable actor who has played under the direction of Lawrence Cassdan, Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott, M. Knight Shamalan, or David Cronenberg. Also in 1986 at Cannes he was awarded the Interpretation Prize, William Hart died this week at the age of 71.
“The Hurt family mourns the death of William Hart, their beloved father and Oscar-winning actor, on March 13, 2022, a week before his 72nd birthday. Writes his son Will in a statement; “He died peacefully, with his family, of natural causes.” In May 2018, the actress was diagnosed with an incurable stage of prostate cancer, although a statement issued by her son did not specify whether this was the cause of his death.
