What naturally drew you to the world of transformational art and makeup?

My background is mainly in the visual arts – painting and drawing and photography. A great friend I’ve known since childhood, my mother offered me to be a makeup artist and I found that very strong: the storytelling aspect.

I realized that doing makeup for film and television is much more than just doing makeup. Read the scripts and try to improve the story. This is a story, but I mostly use it to draw and paint people’s faces.

How was the process of creating your first makeup brand?

I think a lot of makeup artists always have those moments. So I had a constant little list of products I would like to make if I had a line.

The first products we produced are basically a system that reflects glitter and sparkles in bright colors. That’s why I wanted to create this ingredient system that would go well with what gives people this look. You don’t need a whole collection of makeup brushes. You don’t need to be a professional at all. My fantasy is that this line is the first makeup line of someone I play with. For makeup pros, I want you to really appreciate top-notch formulas. I really wanted to lead with products that I think are more universal and aimed at those who don’t want to wear brighter colors. Give them that uplifting experience to start the game with magical, uplifting makeup.

What’s the one makeup tool you can’t leave the house without?
