During an interview with Subway, Richard Armitage commented on his experience recording the unusual scene and every bizarre aspect. “It was really unexpected because the script had a very different scene,” she said. “There was a Kleenex with her lipstick on it, which we didn’t think would work. I was really aware that the scene wasn’t supposed to be comical in any way, so we left it wide open and there was a little bit of improvisation.”
Charlie, unbeknownst to me, sprayed the perfume she wore during filming on different parts of the bed. I realized that, and that’s when the scene started. But the recording wasn’t very planned, actually.
