Leonin acquires Berlin-based manufacturing company Hyperbole Medien

German Mini Major Leonine acquired Hyperbole Medien, a Berlin-based television production company owned by Bastian Asdonck, known for its non-fiction and entertainment formats.

The deal, which takes effect June 1, gives Leonin full control of Hyperbole, the award-winning documentary series producer. Germany And a political talk show 13 fragments (13 questions). Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Asdonk will remain as CEO of Hyperbole, with Leonine Digital CEO Christian Meinberger joining the company’s board.

Leonine adds Hyperbole to her growing group of film and television producers. The German studio, owned by the private investment group KKR, already controls the German television stations i&u TV, Madame Zheng Production, Odeon Fiction, SEO Entertainment, W&B Television, as well as Wiedemann & Berg Film.
