“Emotional and visceral.” This is how he defines Francisca Valenzuela the video of “Where do you cry when you cry?”which has just opened.
The video explores the contrast between the public facade and the private realm, where true emotions run wild. It takes place in the everyday setting of a parking lot and the intimate space of a car, showing the journey of emotional breakdown and catharsis.
Directed by Alba Gaviraghi, the clip also captures the raw and vulnerable moments that follow a painful breakup.
The song is a preview of what will be Valenzuela’s sixth album, dated the second half of 2023. And at the same time, “Dónde Se Llora Cuando Se Llora?” is a confessional and cathartic piece that promises to leave a lasting impression on the listener.
Written and produced by Valenzuela herself with Chilean musician and producer Francisco Victoria, the first shows not only the identifiable vulnerability and strength that the artist has, also of his sensitivity, subtleties and prisms which surround an album of breakup in love.
