Avatar 3: A big postponement for the next film
After thirteen years of waiting, james cameron finally offered a sequel to Avatars (2009). With Avatars 2, the director takes us back to Pandora for another outstanding viewing experience. The film was a huge success and audiences are now eagerly awaiting a third opus. We’ve known for some time that the director is already working on at least three more sequels initially planned for 2024, 2026 and 2028. Unfortunately the production Avatars 3 seems to be late by then the release has been postponed.
The producer John Landau posted a message on Twitter stating that the public will have to wait December 2025 before returning to the world of Pandora. He specifies that each film “it takes time to reach the quality level“expected. The production would then have had no choice but to do so postpone the release for a year.
Avatar 4 and 5: even the release dates move
In addition to this announcement, The Hollywood Reporter has published an article providing an update on upcoming Disney releases. Avatar 3 is postponed for a year, the studio schedule logically suffers. Thereby, Avatars 4 should come to the cinema in December 2029 AND Avatars 5 in 2031. A huge postponement therefore given that now we will have to wait four long years between the third and fourth feature film!
