Star nutritionist, nutrition expert Olesya Reveko considers that the most important way to reduce the calorie content of the diet is to track vegetable oil consumption. Often we do not take into account the amount of oil we pour into a pan or into a salad. At the same time, a tablespoon of vegetable oil contains over 130 calories!

“Even with the benefits of olive oil, it should not be poured into a salad. It is better to buy oil with a dispenser and do 2 sprays. This portion contains only 3 grams of oil – and about 30 calories,” says the expert.

Olesya also recommends not being shy about making changes to the dishes we order in the restaurant. You can ask the waiter to simply use less oil when frying the meat or not to add dressing to the salad.

Other nutritionist tips for reducing the calorie content of meals without counting calories:

  • Choose low-fat dairy products. The calorie difference between 18% curd mass and 2-5% curd is enormous

  • Replace mayonnaise (67% fat) with Greek yogurt (4%)

  • What do you usually eat fish or meat with? With potatoes, pasta, rice? Replace them with vegetables. I’m not saying to completely cut carbs from your diet – you shouldn’t. But by replacing the side dish with vegetables, you will achieve two goals at once: reduce the calorie content of food intake and save yourself from heaviness in the stomach.
