Charlie’s Angels 3 ? McG is in!
In 2000, viewers from all over the world have the opportunity – the privilege! – discover McG’s delirious visual ability with Charlie and his Charlie’s Angels, adaptation of the famous American series. Three years later, the filmmaker summons once again the excellent trio formed by Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu and succeeds in the feat of signing an even crazier, funnier and sillier second film with Charlie’s Angels: Angels go wild.
The franchise later underwent a 2019 reboot headed by Elizabeth Banks, which introduced a new team. However, the commercial failure of Charlie’s Angels apparently buried the possibility of a sequel. On the contrary, McG recently made it knownhe would like to direct a third chapter starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu, who supported him in his early days as he pitched his outlandish ideas to Amy Pascal, then head of Columbia Pictures.

Asked by Entertainment Weekly in this regard, the director said:
It would take a long discussion with these three wonderful actresses that I adore. I was very happy to see Elizabeth Banks take the lead and do what she did. (…) I would be very happy to discuss it with Drew, Cameron and Lucy but, at the same time, I was very happy to pass the baton. (…) But who knows? Perhaps we still have a compelling story to tell if the opportunity presents itself. I love all three of them so much. (…) They watched over me when I started directing. I almost got fired Charlie and his Charlie’s Angels many times and Drew stood up for me, and I will forever be in his debt.

Charlie’s Angels 2: Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher’s relationship hurt the film according to Drew Barrymore
Drew Barrymore would like to find his accomplices
In 2022, Drew Barrymore assured it on his talk showwould sign without hesitation for a third work with her friends Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu, even adding:
I’d be surprised if one of us didn’t want to. (…) he I will always say ‘yes’.

Passing through the Show tonight of Jimmy Fallon in March 2023, Lucy Liu said it for her part it would be “really fun to do something with” his accomplices again, although 23 years have passed since the first part and this new film would necessarily be “different”. As for Cameron Diaz, she recently came out of retirement to pursue comedy Back in action, which will be released soon on Netflix and in which he gives the answer to Jamie Foxx. All hope is therefore legitimate.
