Inspired by the melodies of Beatles songsthe group that marked Morat from an early age, “Feo” seduced from the start.
“We’re really inspired by The Beatles. We love that all the Beatles songs aren’t very serious,” Isaza says.
He adds: “It doesn’t have to be all very dramatic, and we wanted ‘Ugly’ to be very simple… It started out as a joke, like ‘I’m so ugly you won’t listen to me!’
“Ugly” is therefore a happy, easy and direct song, as the hit songs of the Colombian group tend to be. In fact, this theme was composed in 15 minutes, and the importance goes to the melody with a message that goes beyond what we have in mind as Ugly because there are many things in life that can be ugly is not only based on the physical appearance of people.
It is more, this song represents the duality of emotions in a relationship and how love can be complicated yet beautiful at the same time.
Finally, “Feo” is accompanied by a video clip with a captivating narrative that shows a metaphor for the complexity of human relationships.
