“We did 22 episodes last season, and that’s a lot of television, especially for me because I’m writing, producing and acting in it.”he declared. “So, I welcomed a shorter season because it was tiring, exhausting work. I loved it, but it was exhausting for me.”
Still according to Brunson, the third season of Abbott Elementary will still follow the school calendar, despite not having started broadcasting in September, when classes resume in the United States, due to strikes:
“Our season will still be within the school calendar. [Mas] Last year, we started airing in September, when classes started. We won’t do that this year”he stated, without giving away the premiere of the new episodes.
